Over the past few months, I have been working hard on posting on here on the bloggy-blog more regularly and consistently. But lately, I have had a lot of other side projects going on [such as my mother + child co. sessions, among other fun things I can’t wait to share with you], so blog planning and writing has sort of taken a back burner. Also, as much as I enjoy sharing some of my favorite online shopping finds, one of the reasons I first started this blog was to have a personalized platform to document and share little bits of our life with friends and family. So every now and then, I let my OCD tendencies about blog planning go out the window so I can share a post like this.

As kids, we never really did the whole pumpkin patch thing with our parents. I think we did go with our school groups and such, but it just wasn’t a thing in our family. So it’s funny that I am so obsessed with making it a tradition in our house. We have made a point to go to one every year since my oldest son was born. I think it makes it feel more like fall to have a tradition like this when we live in places as hot as here in Arizona or in our past home, Los Angeles, since the past several years, we are sweating in our boots every time. But as miserable as the weather is, we always have fun, get our pumpkins, and make memories with our family. Which is really what it’s all about.
And because I have too many pictures that I love from our visit to the patch yesterday, I have to share them all here, so as not to annoy my Instagram followers. 😉
The plan was for the kids and I to meet two of my other best girlfriends and their kids there. But at the last minute, my husband decided to join us. I’m so thankful he did because managing all three of ours plus the activities going on [not to mention breastfeeding the babe on-the-go in that heat] turned out to be more than I could manage with my two hands. And he also helped me capture more photos than I otherwise would have been able to. Wins all around.
This pic [above] was the miraculous moment we got all the toddlers to stay put at the same time for a picture. Too. Much. Cuteness. Ok fine, we bribed them with snacks. And the baby was sleeping in the stroller at the time. Still, pretty impressive if you ask me.
That’s my friend Megan up there with her about to pop baby bump. Isn’t she so cute? Kinda makes me miss my bump. And the one picture of my two babes passing pumpkins was way over-exposed, but the moment was too cute not to share. I tend to always shoot with my meter to the over-exposed side on my DSLR, so sometimes I forget to adjust it and it goes a little too far. I’m still learning how to use that thing!
The kiddos had a blast in the hay maze, but it was starting to get hot at this point, so you can see they are a little flushed! All around we had a great time and I am so glad we made the effort to go. Until next year, pumpkin patch!
