It’s the second day of Christmas, and you know what that means, right? Two turtle doves from our friend Hana of Little Dovie!
Unless you have been living under a party-phobic rock [that is not on Instagram], you have surely heard of this darling party banner shop that combines block glitter letters and multi-colored felt balls for an uber-modern aesthetic to party decor. I personally have been lusting after her feed for a while, and I finally ordered a banner for my daughter’s birthday. It was a super cute custom “two if by sea” mermaid themed banner [more photos to come in a later blog post].
I also wanted to add a little modern to our festive decor this year, so I got the “merry + bright” banner. I love it so much, my only problem is deciding where it is going to land! I move it around the house regularly. And my daughter is totally obsessed with her holiday woolie ball necklace. It is the perfect accessory for any holiday activity!
Little Dovie also makes felt leafy garlands, small high chair banners, and mini cake toppers. The possibilities for cuteness are endless!
As I virtually ‘meet’ these amazing mama movers and shakers, I love to get to know a little more about them and what inspires them. Because I think there are a lot of us mamas who crave a creative outlet [other than our darling children]. I have also found that most of these mama makers have in common that they are looking for something out there that they can’t find – so they create it! Owner Hana of Little Dovie is not exception. She started her shop in April of 2014 when she was planning her daughter’s first birthday and was having trouble finding decor that matched her aesthetic. The little banner she made for her high chair was the start of it all!
