It’s been tough to get into feeling our first fall here in the desert. We have still had more 100+ degree days than I care to count as we sail through October. But we are slowly starting to make it out more to the parks again on the [slightly] cooler days and it is so nice to be able to do that all winter long here. Which makes me realize we have almost been here a full year now. It’s hard to believe. And that brings up all kinds of other emotions. But more on those feels later.
There is no better time than the changing of the seasons to clean out and update one’s life. The wardrobe is a good place to start. While I have not yet quite made it to the cleaning out part, I do already have my eye on some updated footwear. As I mentioned in my first post in my new #lovestyled series, I have been wearing the same pair of flip flops on my formerly swollen pregnant feet all summer. Now suddenly I am looking at my shoe collection, which consists of a lot of ballet flats and fancy high heeled shoes and boots that I used to wear to work, and wondering where in heck I will ever wear any of those now that I spend my days getting dirty on playgrounds.
This little roundup are some [mostly] practical fall boots that would fit my life now to perfection. I mean, it is not ok that both of my kids have brand new Hunter boots and I still have none. And I have been lusting after those fringed babies for far too long now. I wonder how much I can get if I sell all those fancy shoes in my closet that I never wear anymore? Hopefully [but probably not] enough so that I go buy allllll of these.
