friday faves: baby and toddler fashion
I’m back with this month’s Friday Faves! Last month, I shared with you guys my love for babywearing. This month, its another subject near and dear to my heart – baby and toddler fashion!
It all started when my daughter was born in 2013. I’ll be honest with you, I have dreamed of having a daughter for pretty much my whole life. In fact, I would have been totally fine if we had all girls in our family. OF COURSE I love my boys to the moon and back. Always. In a way, having only one little princess makes her all that much more special. But I digress. The point is, I have loved dressing her since the moment I knew that she, was a she. And I’m not sure that love will ever stop! But of course, dressing boys can be fun too! So I thought I would share a couple of my faves that are now available as part of my curated collection at Modern Milk!
Since having my daughter, I have really gotten into shopping and supporting small, handmade businesses. Which is how I came across both Crew and Lu and Sapling Child.
Crew and Lu is a children’s lifestyle clothing brand based right here in sunny Arizona. Created by mama Uyen Carlsen, who started by making leggings and moccasins for baby boy Crew, she has organically grown her brand to incorporate contemporary style and in-demand pieces, from bloomers to headwraps, to swimwear and beyond. The Crew and Lu more recent Basics Collection includes comfy gender neutral pieces for all the babies in your life.
Sapling Child is an Australian company that makes all of their clothing out of 100% organic soft knit cotton. The sustainable company uses high quality sources to ensure it is free of toxic chemicals, heavy metals and also uses approved water based dyes, making their product line an overall safer choice for babies. These pieces from their Essentials collection make a great gift for a new baby in your life!
