a shower for baby boy

I’ll be honest, being as this is my third baby, we didn’t really consider having a shower for this baby boy on the way. I mean, I love a party, but I’m also an all-or-nothing type of gal, so if I’m going to do a party, I want it to be good. And I just wasn’t really up for organizing (or helping a friend/family member to organize) a good party at this moment in life.

So when I was approached to participate in a creative collaborative photoshoot themed, “Frogs, Snails, & Puppydog Tails,” for a baby boy’s shower, I thought, why not!? I am just going to make-believe that this beautiful event was actually my own shower. In reality, this darling project was organized by the brilliant Mindy of Mindy Alyse Celebrations for the purpose of an online magazine publication, but lucky for me (and you) today I’m giving you a little sneak peek!

These sweet invitations and other printable were created by Just a Little Sparkle.

The baby shower was set at the beautiful event space, the Venue at the Grove in Phoenix.  The food, party table, and gifting area were all set up inside this charming barn, with all the furniture rentals from Vintage Rusicity.  Just outside were rows and rows of old pecan trees, which made up the grove the venue was named after.  Wouldn’t this place also be gorgeous for a wedding?

My fellow beautiful model friends are Heidi of Idieh Design and Mariana Marie, who also did our hair and makeup.

The cute little naked cake and parfaits were made by blogger/baker Celebrating Sweets and the custom cookies were done by The Baked Equation.  Perhaps the best part about this shoot was that we go to try all the yummy treats!

There was vintage rustic charm at every turn for this photoshoot.  It was just full of some of the cutest ideas for a baby boy shower.  I’m so grateful I got to be a part of it [and eat cupcakes]!
